Our Mission:

Waste Not Re-Sourcing is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that is focused on four goals: environmental protection through a zero tolerance landfill policy for the disposal of electronic waste (E-waste); a no-overseas shipment guarantee; creation and sustaining new employment opportunities in the responsible recycling industry; and providing educational scholarships and on-the-job opportunities for students pursuing an environmental degree program.

What we Do:

Waste Not Re-Sourcing: 1) provides for the collection of E-waste; 2) provides for the processing of this E-waste into its component parts for recycling; and 3) provides for the shipment of the E-waste to certified recyclers for environmentally safe disposal (i.e., melting, glass-to-glass smelting, and/or resale). It should be emphasized that Waste Not will insure, through appropriate documentation and partner site audits, that no E-waste is shipped overseas to developing nations.

Why we do It:

Electronics are a growing part of the waste stream. The National Safety Council predicts about 500 million computers will become obsolete in the U.S. next year. It is estimated that 85% of these old computers will be stored and not recycled.  Most electronic equipment can be considered hazardous due to heavy metals such as Lead, Cadmium, and Mercury. Most computer monitors contain four or more pounds of lead within the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT).
